Key point of designing

Better effects will be obtained if a free-face is provided in parallel to the direction in which cracks are required to be formed.

Where the spacings between holes are equal, cracks will appear more easily in parallet to the free-fae.

Shorten the spacing between holes in the direction in wich cracks are required to be formed.

For producing cracks effectively, the line of least resistance should be made 1/2 of the hole spacing.
